Neil Young Goes It Alone For US Tour

Solo acoustic tour for legendary songwriter

Neil Young is heading out on the road for a series of solo acoustic dates to road test new material.

The Twisted Road Tour will see Young heading to classic theatres in the US to test out new material and old classics – similar to the shows that he used to perform in the late 60s/early 70s, and captured so magnificently on the Live At Massey Hall album.

Typically for Young there is no word on what form the new material will be released – if it is released at all. However, Young is still on one of his most prolific run of releases of his career – a new album this year would be his eighth since 2000 (not including his Archive releases) and the follow up to last year’s Fork In The Road.

Young will be supported on the tour by Pentangle guitarist Bert Jansch.

No word on whether the tour will make its way to these shores, but we will keep you informed. Here are the dates:

The brand new Neil Young movie, Trunk Show, is currently airing in selected movie theatres in the US and a DVD of the film is due to be released in the summer.
