Neil Young Film Release Set For Summer
The final part of Jonathan Demme's Neil Young trilogy will be released in June
Neil Young Journeys was filmed at the back end of his 2010 tour and it sees Young on a trip from his hometown of Omemee, Canada to the tour’s last two shows, held at Toronto’s Massey Hall. Along the way, according to the L.A. Times, Young "reminisces about childhood friends and talks about how the surroundings have changed over the decades while rolling toward Toronto in a 1956 Ford Crown Victoria.”
The film is slated for a theatrical release in the US on 29 June, with a European release likely to be around the same time.
Demme has previously worked with Young on the films Heart Of Gold and Neil Young Trunk Show. After a limited theatrical run the latter is currently stuck in release limbo and it's possible that Neil Young Journeys may be released properly before it.
