Mystery Metallica Project Due For May
Kirk Hammett reveals that the band will be recording \"something\" in May
The guitarist has fuelled speculation that the band may be recording something with the rest of the bands in the Big 4 (Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth) in a couple of months.
Metallica hit the road with the Big 4 this summer, playing dates in the US and Europe, with one dates scheduled in the UK on 8 July at the Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth (CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS)
But it seems that we may see a release before the tour.
"We want to record it in two weeks," guitarist Kirk Hammett tells Rolling Stone. "We had planned on doing it in March, but we pushed it back to May. I don't want to give too much away, but it's not really 100 percent a Metallica record. It's a recording project, let's put it that way. Without getting too deep into it, it's more a recording project than a bona fide Metallica album. Whether or not we can pull it off in just two weeks remains to be seen."
