Myles Kennedy to perform electric set with full band at Steelhouse Festival 2018
Alter Bridge’s Myles Kennedy has been unveiled as a blockbuster co-headliner at Steelhouse Festival 2018.
Myles Kennedy and Co. will share bill-topping duties with Glenn Hughes (performing Classic Deep Purple) on Saturday 28th July, with both acts performing full sets.
Unlike his current run of acoustic shows supporting his incredible debut album ‘Year of the Tiger’, the headline slot at Steelhouse Festival will see Myles play an electric set with a full band.
Myles Kennedy said: “I'm more than excited to make my way up that mountain road and see everyone at Steelhouse Festival. I'll get to see my good friends Glenn Hughes and Dan Reed. And don't worry, I'm bringing the sun!”
Steelhouse promoters Mikey Evans and Max Rhead enthuse: “We are hugely excited to have Myles Kennedy and Co. appear at Steelhouse Festival this year.
“He is one of the finest contemporary rock singers in the world. The songs he's recorded with both Alter Bridge and Slash are already modern rock classics and his solo work really shows what a truly exceptional musician and song-writer he is.
“Having him co-headline Saturday 28th July with a full band and show alongside Glenn Hughes with his own Classic Deep Purple set means the vocal power on offer at Steelhouse this year is simply beyond formidable... The album is ‘Year of the Tiger’, but at Steelhouse 2018 it's the ‘Year of the Singer’, no question..”
Myles joins an already phenomenal Steelhouse Festival line-up that boasts Black Star Riders, The Wildhearts, The Dead Daisies, Dan Reed Network, Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons, The Quireboys, King King, Stone Broken and many more.
Dubbed ‘The Welsh International Classic Rock Festival’, the eighth Steelhouse Festival takes place at Hafod-Y-Dafal Farm in Ebbw Vale, Gwent, Wales from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th July 2018. Tickets are on sale from Planet Rock Tickets now.

In other Myles Kennedy news, yesterday Slash announced that Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators will release their third studio album this autumn.
The band consisting of the titular Slash on guitars and Myles Kennedy on vocals, alongside Brent Fitz (drums), Todd Kern (bass & vocals) and Frank Sidoris (guitar & vocals) have entered the studio with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Alter Bridge, Iggy Pop, Incubus) to commence work on the follow-up to 2014’s ‘World on Fire’.
The as-yet-untitled album will be released in autumn and there will be a full North American tour to coincide with its release.
“I’m excited about the new stuff we put together for this next record; it’s got some cool songs and it’s got a great live feel.” enthuses Slash.
“I’ve been working with Myles, Brent and Todd for about 8 years now. It’s been an amazing ride so far; as a band we continue to get better which is great. With the addition of Frank since the ‘World On Fire’ tour, I feel we have hit a great, creative stride which I definitely think shows on this next record.”
