Muse UFO Kills MTV Broadcast

A giant prop used by Muse during a festival performance over the weekend proved problematic for MTV Europe when it stopped a live TV broadcast.

The brand new giant UFO prop made its appearance on Saturday night at the Rock AM Ring in Germany but when it was launched a live TV broadcast showing Slayer on MTV Europe was cut off.

No word on whether the band will be bringing the prop to the UK this summer for their Glastonbury or stadium shows, but it’s pretty likely. The prop appears to be the UFO that the band had built a few years ago but weren’t able to use due to health and safety.

The band have promised something special for their Glastonbury Festival performance, with talk of a full orchestra on the cards.

You can see some brief footage below of the UFO taken from a show in Bern last week. The prop seems to make its appearance at the beginning of the song Exogenesis Part 1
