Muse Reveal Recording Plans
The band will be hitting the studio later this year and will have an album in 2012
Muse Drummer Dominic Howard and bassist Chris Wolstenholme spoke to the NME at the Ivor Novello's yesterday and dropped some details of their next album.
In the interview Howard revealed the band's plans to to record in September or October of this year and "definitely" release an album in 2012, three years after their last effort The Resistance.
Wolstenholme said they're headlining the mammoth Leeds and Reading festivals in the middle of the year, "So September, October time we'll get into the studio and start writing and working on the songs."
Howard said, "It takes as long as it takes really, because you have to love it before you can just chuck it out there and into the real world. But definitely next year."
They also revealed that Matt Bellamy is showing his softer side in new music he's presented to them.
Howard said, "Who knows, it might be softer rock, but then it's up to me and Chris to make it heavy again. A heavy rock lullaby! But I'm sure it will move forward in some way."
