Muse hit the studio & post clip of Matt Bellamy’s son drum duelling Dominic Howard
Muse have hit the recording studio to continue work on brand new music.
Ahead of their eagerly-anticipated headline slots at Reading and Leeds Festival this August, the Teignmouth trio are holing themselves up in the studio to record the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Drones’.
Over the past few days, drummer Dominic Howard and singer Matt Bellamy have both shared an update from the studio on Instagram including footage of Matt’s five-year-old son Bing embroiled in a drum battle with Dominic.

Speaking to Absolute Radio about the potential direction for their eighth album last autumn, Matt hinted that it might be more understated.
Matt said: “I feel like I say it every time with each album but I feel like it might be time to actually do something a bit more stripped down.
He continued: “The last album was written and recorded very much with the idea of how it is going to work in the show in mind. Moving forward, we might want to do something different because I feel like we’ve pushed the show to a really high point.”
