Mr Big Enter The Studio

Band begin tracking comeback album with Maiden producer

Mr Big have begun recording their brand new studio album – their first with the original four members since 1995.

Gibson.com reports that the band have entered the studio with Kevin Shirley, who produced the latest Iron Maiden record, put together the Black Country Communion project and has just finished producing the new one by Journey.

According to a Twitter and Facebook post, bass legend Billy Sheehan says the album features "impossible bass and guitar stuff,” and the material is said to be in a similar vein to the band’s 1991 breakthrough, Lean Into It – the album that launched the #1 single "To Be With You.”

Expect the new album early in 2011.
