The reported haematoma, which is a localised collection of blood outside of the blood vessels, comes just a week after reports that the 67 year old underwent heart surgery to address ongoing cardiac issues.

The band had to cancel an appearance in Austria on Saturday and another in Milan, Italy tonight. A statement from Motörhead's management reads:

"We are sorry to report that Motörhead will be forced to cancel the appearance in Milan, Jun 25th. The band regret it very much but will make it up to all the fans as soon as possible."

Everyone at Planet Rock would like to wish Lemmy a speedy recovery!
