Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil undergoes hand surgery
Mötley Crüe vocalist Vince Neil has undergone surgery on his hand in Nashville, Tennessee.
The 58-year-old singer took to Instagram yesterday (27th November) to share a photo of himself wearing a surgical gown and cap while lying on a hospital bed.
He captioned the photo: “Hand Surgery Today!! #vikingdisease #Dupuytrenscontracture #nashville”

Dupuytren's contracture is a condition in which one or more fingers become permanently bent in a flexed position towards the palm. In Vince Neil’s case, it’s the little finger on his right hand that’s affected.
Surgery involved straightening the finger, however it may result in the finger not being as strong and flexible as previously was. The contracture can also come back after a few years.
It’s often called Viking’s disease due to its prevalence in people of Scandinavian or Northern European ancestry.
Vince Neil’s operation comes a week-and-a-half after Mötley Crüe announced their live return with the destruction of their cessation of touring agreement.
The band released a video and lengthy statement heralding their return and explained that the huge success of their Netflix biopic The Dirt “has seen a massive surge in new audience.”
Rolling Stone has reported that Mötley Crüe are lining up a North American stadium tour with Def Leppard and Poison, however this hasn’t been confirmed by any of the bands.
