Bloodstock confirms 12 more bands for 2023

Bloodstock has added another 12 acts to the bill for 2023’s festival, including thrash veterans Sacred Reich and sludge metal heavyweights Crowbar.

Having reformed for live shows in 2006, Sacred Reich finally released fifth studio album ‘Awakening’ in 2019 – their first since 1996’s ‘Heal’.

They will play the Ronnie James Dio main stage on Friday, alongside German extreme metallers Heaven Shall Burn and Seething Akira, who Bloodstock describe as an ‘electro nu-core squad’.

Sludge sluggers Crowbar will join the main stage line-up on the Saturday, as will hotly tipped London metal trio URNE.

All Hail The Yeti return to Bloostock for a main stage slot on Sunday. Dead Label and Mongolia’s UUHAI round off the new RJD stage announcements.

Over on the Sophie Lancaster stage, Friday will see the festival welcoming Swedish metalheads Brothers Of Metal while gore grind merchants Gutalax fly in from the Czech Republic to liven up your Saturday.

Then on Sunday we have prog-metal supergroup Cobra The Impaler and North Yorkshire’s Invisions.

Bloodstock also said that its popular Deposit Scheme for tickets will be available from this coming Monday (21 November).

Payments can be spread across 6 months, making it more manageable to pay for your ticket in instalments.

Bloodstock’s previously announced 2023 main stage headliners include Killswitch Engage and Megadeth, with the third to be announced in the coming months.

Also appearing are In Flames, Devildriver, Anthrax, Biohazard, Sepultura, Whitechapel, Fit For An Autopsy, Ugly Kid Joe, Decapitated, Gatecreeper, Zeal & Ardor, King 810, Unto Others, Nonpoint, Church Of The Cosmic Skull and Trollfest, with many more yet to be announced.
