As anyone who bore witness to their March tour or their sets at Ramblin' Man Fair or Steelhouse Festival over the weekend will attest, Monster Truck are a truly exhilarating live spectacle and they will be jetting over to the UK this December especially for Planet Rockstock.

Monster Truck join previously announced Saturday night headliner Joanne Shaw Taylor. The closing act on Sunday night will be unveiled in early September along with the Friday opener.

Also joining the line-up is Finnish music institution Michael Monroe who plays the coveted penultimate slot on Sunday night.

With a career spanning almost four decades, together with his former Hanoi Rocks band mates, Michael has been widely credited with influencing bands including Poison, Skid Row and Guns N’ Roses – the latter of which he collaborated with on ‘Use Your Illusion I’ and ‘The Spaghetti Incident?’

A distinguished solo artist in his own right with ten albums under his belt, Michael’s set at Planet Rockstock promises to be very special indeed.

Elsewhere, Michael’s fellow countrymen Brother Firetribe will bring their high energy live show to Planet Rockstock as part of their 15th anniversary celebrations.

The hard rockers, who released their fourth studio album ‘Sunbound’ back in March, are guaranteed to be on fine form at Rockstock on the back of playing shows across mainland Europe throughout the autumn.

Completing this fresh wave of Planet Rockstock line-up additions are Son of Man.

As their name suggests, the band features two former members of pioneering Welsh progressive rock band Man – guitarist George Jones and drummer Bob Richards – together with ex-Sassafras members Richie Galloni (vocals) and Marco James (keyboards), and ex-Tigertailz guitarist Glenn Quinn.

In homage to George’s dad, co-founding Man member Micky Jones, the band continue Man’s legacy by playing their music live, together with material from their own eponymous debut album ‘Son of Man’.

The newly confirmed acts join a bill that already boasts Bernie Marsden, Dan Reed Network, Rock Goddess, King King, Bernie Torme, Electric Boys, Massive Wagons, Bad Touch, Stone Broken and many more.

Completely sold out, the fifth Planet Rockstock takes place at Trecco Bay, South Wales from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd December 2017.
