After wowing at the opening Rocktober night at Norwich Open last Saturday with her beguiling soulful sounds, unfortunately Mollie Marriott will no longer be performing at Sheffield O2 Academy this weekend.

The sublimely talented Rebecca Downes has stepped in for Mollie at the eleventh hour and will open the Sheffield gig at 6pm.

Planet Rock listeners are no strangers to Rebecca Downes as her single 'Hurts' has been on heavy rotation on our airwaves in recent months.

Just like in Norwich, Walter Trout headlines Planet Rock’s Rocktober in Sheffield with fellow blues powerhouses Kris Barras Band and Dan Patlansky on the stellar line-up.

As if that wasn’t enough to tempt you, our resident weekday afternoon DJ extraordinaire, Darren Redick, will be hosting proceedings.

The final tickets for Planet Rock’s Rocktober are on sale from Planet Rock Tickets now.

Get well soon Mollie Marriott!
