Mick Jagger reacts after Donald Trump plays The Rolling Stones at victory speech
Defying The Rolling Stones’ wishes, President-elect Donald Trump played ‘You Can't Always Get What You Want’ after his victory speech this morning.
Back in May, The Rolling Stones issued a statement demanding that Trump stop using their music at campaign events after 'Start Me Up' and 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' were played at rallies.
It read: "The Rolling Stones have never given permission to the Trump campaign to use their songs and have requested that they cease all use immediately."
Following his victory speech at the New York Hilton in Midtown Manhattan, the incoming President exited the stage with The Stones’ 1969 classic ‘You Can't Always Get What You Want’ playing.
Making light of the situation, Mick joked to his Twitter followers this morning: “Just was watching the news... maybe they'll ask me to sing 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' at the inauguration, ha!”
