Mick Jagger announces he is "on the mend" following heart surgery
The Rolling Stones frontman has thanked fans for their messages of support.
Mick Jagger has thanked fans for their support following his recent heart surgery and has revealed that he is now "on the mend".
The Rolling Stones vocalist underwent a heart valve replacement which resulted in the Stones postponing their North American tour and he thanked hospital staff for doing a "superb job".
Posting an official statement on his Facebook page the singer said: “Thank you everyone for all your messages of support. I’m feeling much better now and on the mend – and also a huge thank you to all the hospital staff for doing a superb job.”

The postponed dates for the No Filter tour were due to start this month but will be rescheduled to July with new shows also being announced in coming weeks.
But fans thirst for watching the Stones will be slightly quenched by their release of Bridges To Bremen on 21st June.
The concert was filmed at the Weserstadion in Bremen on 2nd September 1998, at the end of their mammoth Bridges To Babylon tour. The footage and audio, previously unreleased, have been restored from the original masters, and is currently available for fans to order on Blu-ray and DVD.
