Metallica Make History In Peru
Metal band play to 50,000 in Lima
Metallica played what was reportedly the biggest ever musical event in Peruvian history yesterday when more than 50,000 fans saw them perform in the capital.
LivingInPeru.com reports that fans had been camping out at the University of San Marcos stadium since Sunday to make sure that they got into the gig which opened the band’s South American tour.
The band are due to play shows in Panama, Costa Rica, Argentina, Chile and Brazil before they head back to Europe for a series of shows on the Sonisphere Festival tour (although not the UK leg).
