Metallica extend London pop-up shop opening and unveil exclusive screen printed poster
Metallica’s pop-up shop in London will stay open for an extra day than was originally advertised.
Situated at 45 Charlotte Road in Shoreditch, the shop opened its doors this lunchtime and was originally scheduled to close next Monday (23rd October) at 6pm.
The band have now confirmed it will stay open until Tuesday 24th October at 6pm, meaning fans travelling to London for the second sold-out O2 Arena gig will be able to call by at the store beforehand. Tuesday aside, the shop will be open from midday to 8pm daily.
In addition to keeping the shop open longer, Metallica have unveiled a limited-edition screen print designed by artist Richey Beckett that will be available exclusively in the London.
Limited to just 50 copies per day for the shop’s duration on a first come, first served basis, the screen print is entitled LONDON MMXVII and was commissioned by the band to celebrate the two O2 Arena shows.
A beautifully printed 18"x24" 7-color silkscreen print, the piece is strictly limited and will never be reprinted. It’s also available as an exclusive T-shirt and Beckett will be appearing in store on Monday 23rd at 3pm to sign copies of the print.
