A Finnish YouTuber who goes by the name of Metal Börje has performed Metallica’s 1991 anthem ‘Enter Sandman’ in the style of Iron Maiden.

Introducing the five-minute clip, Metal Börje wrote: “What if in 1990 Steve Harris distracted Kirk Hammett by giving him a new wah pedal and meanwhile stole the Sandman riff? What if Iron Maiden made Enter Sandman?”

The impressive video then sees Metal Börje perform ‘Enter Sandman’ instrumentally in the style of Iron Maiden while wearing Steve Harris, Bruce Dickinson, Janick Gers, Adrian Smith, Nicko McBrain and Dave Murray masks.

Unfortunately, the video is devoid of vocals as Metal Börje professes his singing is “horrible”, so he’s calling on singers to contact him personally if they can do a good Bruce Dickinson impersonation.

Metal Börje says he’s already got in touch with the singer of Brazilian Iron Maiden tribute band Children of the Beast, plus fellow YouTuber Raphael Mendes – who sings other band’s songs in the style of Bruce – but to no avail.

‘Enter Sandman’ in the style of Iron Maiden is the second video in Metal Börje’s series that he’s appropriately dubbed "What if band X made Enter Sandman!".

Back in January, he kicked it off with ‘Enter Sandman’ in the style of Slipknot, which you can also watch here:

Several years ago, Bruce Dickinson made the bold assertion in an interview that ‘Iron Maiden are better than Metallica’.

Explaining why he said it, Bruce told Rolling Stone in 2017: “The stuff about Metallica, quite frankly, was a really good windup.

“We have a great relationship with Metallica. It wasn't aimed at Metallica. It was aimed at the rest of the world to say, 'We're back and we mean it. We mean it so much that we're going to say something pretty outrageous, so why don't you come to the show and find out. We dare you.'

“It's throwing down the gauntlet, and I'm the lead singer. It's my job. It's what I do.”

Back in May, Iron Maiden announced they won’t be playing any live concerts in 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Iron Maiden will return to live action until June and July 2021 when they will play a series of rescheduled Legacy of the Beast Tour dates in Europe.

Earlier this week, Metallica frontman James Hetfield penned a tribute to legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone, who died on Monday aged 91.
