Metallica announce second wave of album reissues on limited-edition colour vinyl
Including their magnum opus 'St. Anger'

Metallica are poised to release four more albums on limited-edition colour vinyl in the UK over the coming months.
From Friday 3rd November 2023 to Friday 1st March 2024, Metallica reissued their first five records - ‘Kill ‘Em All’ (1983), ‘Ride the Lightning’ (1984), ‘Master of Puppets’ (1986), ‘...And Justice for All’ (1988) and ‘Metallica’ aka ‘The Black Album’ (1991) – on special coloured vinyl.
The legendary heavy metal band have now confirmed that the next four albums in the reissue series are covers compilation album ‘Garage Inc.’ (1998), the band’s magnum opus ‘St. Anger’ (2003), ‘Death Magnetic’ (2008) and ‘Hardwired…. To Self-Destruct’ (2016).
Studio records ‘Load’ and ‘Reload’ are currently not part of the coloured vinyl reissue series.
Alongside the latest remastered audio, each pressing of the Metallica albums will come with a digital download card. The coloured vinyl reissues were previously only available in North America.
The release schedule is as follows:
Metallica – ‘Garage, Inc’
The compilation album of cover songs will be released on 5th April 2024 and pressed on 140g 'Fade To Blue' limited edition coloured vinyl.
Metallica – ‘St. Anger’
Featuring the lead single 'St. Anger' which earned the band their seventh Grammy award, this album will be released on 3rd May 2024 and pressed on 140g 'Some Kind Of Orange' limited edition coloured vinyl.
Metallica - ‘Death Magnetic’
Kerrang and Metal Hammer's album of the year in 2008, and Grammy® award winner, will be released on 7th June 2024 and pressed on 140g 'Magnetic Silver' limited edition coloured vinyl.
Metallica – ‘Hardwired… To Self-Destruct’
Number 1 in Rolling Stone's best metal albums of 2016, will be released on 5th July 2024 and pressed on 180g 'Flame Orange' limited edition coloured vinyl.
Following rapturously received shows in Europe and North America last year, Metallica’s M72 World Tour reconvenes with two concerts at Munich’s Olympiastadion next May. The tour then visits Helsinki, Copenhagen, Warsaw and Madrid for two shows in each pitstop.
Metallica’s latest album ‘72 Seasons’ charted at Number 1 in the UK and 18 other countries across the globe.
