Memorial for Slayer guitarist
Stars and fans will pay tribute to Jeff Hanneman on May 23rd.
His fellow bandmates have announced that there will be a four hour public memorial for the musician next week at Los Angeles Hollywood Palladium. Running from 3:30-7:30 the venue will be able to accommodate up to 4000 people on a first come, first served basis.
Hanneman passed away earlier this month at the age of 49. A statement posted by the band on May 9 revealed the cause of death to be alcohol-related cirrhosis.
Tributes to Hanneman have since poured in via Twitter.
