Lzzy Hale, Corey Taylor, Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo join forces for new single 'Thunder Force'
The track will be featured on the upcoming Netflix movie Thunder Force
Halestorm's Lzzy Hale and Slipknot's Corey Taylor have teamed up with Anthrax‘s Scott Ian and ex-Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo on new single 'Thunder Force'.
The song, which also features composer Fil Eisler and musician Tina Guo, will be the lead single from the soundtrack to the upcoming Netflix superhero comedy, Thunder Force, which premieres this Friday.
When asked about the song Lzzy Hale said, 'I’m beyond excited to be included on the Thunder Force soundtrack, surrounded by friends, representing the genres I love so much: rock and metal! You won’t know what hit you! Remember, lightning never strikes if you can’t force the thunder!'
'I have had the privilege of working in the music industry for over 35 years,' adds Dave Lombardo. 'There is something incredibly exhilarating about performing onstage, specifically the edge that comes with the off the rails style of music I play.
Working with Fil Eisler on Thunder Force somehow captured that same feeling. This score is a powerful musical engine. It was a pleasure to be a part of the team that helped this come to life.'

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor also added, 'It was awesome to work on this track with Lzzy and be a part of the film Thunder Force. It is always nice to be creative and work with other artists in the community – especially during this extended time at home. I’m excited for everyone to hear the song and see the film!'
The movie Thunder Force stars Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer and tells the story of two childhood friends reuniting to become the world's first superhero team with hilarious results. It will be available to stream on Netflix from Friday 9th April.

Joey Jordison's 'All Hope Is Gone' Jesus crown of thorns mask
The late Joey Jordison's iconic crucified Jesus mask was brought in for the 'All Hope Is Gone' era in 2008. A crown of thorns and warped stitches were added to his Kabuki mask, whilst some truly off-putting twigs or branches seemed to grow out of his fingers in place of nails. One of the most creepy Slipknot looks of all time, as demonstrated in this incredible photo of Joey on stage at Hammersmith Apollo in London.

The organic, flowing shapes of his high-contrast designs evoke feelings of mysticism and beauty, balanced within the duality of chaos and order one feels as a visitor in this wondrous country."
