Lou Reed & Metallica Album Poster Banned On The Tube

Posters promoting Lulu have been banned from the underground in London

The limbless mannequin with the realistic face, and bloody title won't be seen on the London Underground after it was revealed that Transport For London had banned promotional posters from their stations.

NME reports that the ban has nothing to do with the imagery of the poster itself, but rather the people in charge thought that it looked too much like graffiti.

Rolling Stone asked Lou Reed about the ban and he said, "What would Andy Warhol or Jean Michel Basquiat say of this type of frivolous censorship?"

The first glimpse of what we could expect from the music on the Lou Reed/Metallica album was revealed earlier this week with a 30 second clip of a song called The View. Despite the short length of the clip it's prompted a very mixed reaction so far.
