Lennon Tooth Becomes Work Of Art

The former Beatle's molar has been turned into a sculpture

Back in November we reported on a story that one of John Lennon's molars had been sold at auction for just under £20k (Click Here For The Original Story). Now the tooth has found its way into a sculpture by the sister of the dentist who bought it.

"Once I heard (the tooth) was up for sale I had to have it,” Dr. Michael Zuk told the BBC back in November when he bought it. Now he has allowed his artist sister Kirsten Zuk to use the tooth in a sculpture of Lennon which is on display in Edmonton.

"I love John Lennon.  I’ve been a huge fan all my life,” said Kirsten. "This is like a time-capsule. It will contain his DNA!”

The molar in question was apparently given, by Lennon, to his one time housekeeper, Dot Jarlett in the late ’60s, and somewhere along the way, landed in the hands of Creation Records founder Alan McGee.
