Led Zeppelin reveal further details and release date of official illustrated book
Further nuggets of information have been unveiled about Led Zeppelin's first ever official illustrated book.
Aptly titled Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin, the 368-page tome will be published by Reel Art Press on 2nd October 2018 – 50 years to the month since the band changed their name from The New Yardbirds to Led Zeppelin.
The blurb promoting the book from the publishers reads: “Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin is the first and only official illustrated book to be produced in collaboration with the members of the band.
“Celebrating 50 years since their formation, it covers the group’s unparalleled musical career and features photographs of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham on and offstage, in candid moments and in the recording studio.

Last week it was announced that Led Zeppelin are reissuing their acclaimed 2003 live album ‘How The West Was Won’ on Friday 23rd March via Atlantic/Swan Song.
Remastered under the supervision of perennial back-catalogue tweaker Jimmy Page, it will be available on triple CD, quadruple vinyl, Blu-Ray Audio and Streaming & Digital Download formats together with a Super Deluxe Box Set.
Speaking to the Academy of Achievement in December, Jimmy Page promised “all manner of surprises” in 2018 and said “there will be a Led Zeppelin product coming out that people haven’t heard.”
In October, Redditch Borough Council gave the green light for a John Bonham memorial to be built in the legendary drummer's home town as part of the band’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
The 2.5 tonnes bronze sculpture will be situated in Mercian Square next to Redditch market and it’s expected to be launched to coincide with what would have been Bonzo’s 70th birthday on 31st May 2018.
Despite the 50th anniversary inevitably throwing up fresh rumours of a Led Zeppelin reunion, Robert Plant has been swift to quash such speculation. In an interview with Kentucky radio station 91.9 WFPK last month he said he wouldn’t want to do Led Zeppelin “a disservice” by reuniting.
