Led Zeppelin Album Artist Dies
Zacron sadly passes away
Zacron was responsible for the amazing Led Zeppelin III album art (a controversial piece of work that Jimmy Page once described, incorrectly, as a bit "teeny-bopperish"), which included the near legendary spinning inner disc which changed the album cover with each turn.
Zacron - real name Richard Drew - met Jimmy Page when he was a student at the Kingston College Of Art, where he also lectured for a time. He has worked as a successful artist ever since.Â
Classic Rock Magazine reports that Zacron sadly passed away as a result of bowel cancer in January of this year but his estranged family only learned of his death recently.
