KISS's Gene Simmons shares photo of movie transformation
KISS bassist Gene Simmons has shared a photo of an amazing transformation he underwent for a movie called Armed Response.
The Demon co-produced action horror film Armed Response, which was released in 2017, and also had a brief cameo role as an unnamed ‘male suspect’.
Sharing a photo of his makeover, Gene told his Twitter followers: “Here I am with a skull prosthetic for a movie I co-produced last year called ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, with Wesley Snipes starring.”
Swiftly realising he got the name of his own film wrong, he added: “Apologies, I meant ARMED RESPONSE. Originally, our movie was called TEMPLE, and when I tweeted this, I had a brain fart.”

Starring Wesley Snipes in the lead role as Isaac, the plot synopsis for Armed Response reads: “A team of trained operatives find themselves trapped inside an isolated military compound after its artificial intelligence is suddenly shut down.
“There, they begin to experience strange and horrific phenomena as they attempt to uncover what killed the previous team…”
Produced by Erebus Pictures, a collaboration between WWE Studios and Gene Simmons, Armed Response was critically savaged upon its release and it currently holds a 0% “Rotten” rating on movie review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. Ouch.
KISS played five triumphant UK arena shows earlier this month as part of their swansong End of the Road World Tour.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, Simmons said that both Peter Criss and Ace Frehley have both been invited to guest appear on the multi-year trek.
“They were as important as any one of us in the early days of the band and they’ve both been invited to come on stage at some point in the tour,” Simmons said. “But we couldn’t do the whole thing with them. They’re completely undependable.”
