Kiss Won't Keep It In The Family
Paul Stanley says his son won\'t replace him in Kiss
Paul Stanley has denied rumours that he will be replaced in Kiss by his son Evan – even though the 16 year old is already better at the guitar than him.
The Kiss frontman was talking to New York Daily News about the recent revelation that the various members of Kiss could be replaced as time goes on, and that the band doesn’t need original members to keep going. But Stanley’s doesn’t want his son Evan to be amongst the next generation of Kiss members.
"I'll never be as good as Evan. He jams with us during sound checks, but will he ever play onstage with us? I hope not," Stanley told the New York Daily News. "I want all three of my kids to live by the same philosophy that got me where I am, which is: find your own path. Follow your desires and succeed without any sense of owing anybody any debt of gratitude."
Adds Stanley: "Being Frank Sinatra Jr. is a hard cross to bear."
Here’s some footage of Evan jamming onstage with Paul Stanley. Do you think he would make a decent replacement? He’s certainly got some talent...
