KISS launch their own range of Crocs
Rock merchandise overlords, KISS, have launched their own range of official Crocs shoes.
There are a total of four different KISS-branded Crocs clogs to purchase ranging in price from $44.99 (£35) to $54.99 (£43).
Crocs write on their official website: “Crocs has been Kissified! Just in time for the historic End of the Road tour, Crocs has partnered with the hottest, hardest, most explosive band in the world to create a collection of limited-edition KISS® clogs.”
The Bayaband KISS Clog features flames and the band’s logo alongside the KISS’s painted faces, while the Platform KISS Clog has a 38mm platform sole all the way around.
The Bayaband KISS II Clog has a psychedelic design and also incorporates the logo and the band members’ faces, while the Classic KISS Clog features the logo.
KISS have launched more than 5,000 different items of merchandise since the start of their career including their own branded coffin (the KISS Kasket), condoms, pinball machines, board games, trading cards, VISA Cards, beauty products, action figures, beach towels and comic books.
Bassist Gene Simmons told the BBC in 2015: "I call selling merchandise 'the Kiss business', and every band sells T-shirts, every band sells merchandise. They just don't do as good a job of it as us."
He added: "Life is business, and I approach life the way sharks approach life - they must keep moving or else they will drown. I'll never stop hunting more money, I'll never have enough."
KISS’s multi-year swansong End of the Road World Tour comes to the UK in July taking in five headline shows. Tickets are on sale from Planet Rock Tickets now.
