Drummer Nathan Followill took to Twitter to criticize the airline after it grounded all of its flights over the weekend due to a dispute over job cuts and the band were forced to take a longer trip than planned to Australia.

The band were on their way down under to play a handful of shows, starting on Friday in Sydney and Followill wasn't best pleased when his flight was diverted.

"Dear Qantas, u suck, thanks 4 f***ing up my trip 2 Oz. Joberg-Dubai-Sydney. 24 hours in the air. That's how much I love Oz," he said on Twitter.

He added: "The silver lining is that we are throwing one hell of a halloween party on the plane. I'm going as the drunk guy in seat 5a."

Kings Of Leon release new film Talihina Nights on DVD and Blu Ray today.
