Kings Of Leon Debut New Material In London
Band play three new songs to 65,000 people in Hyde Park
Kings Of Leon debuted new songs last night at a sold out show in Hyde Park.
The band played to 65,000 fans at their first UK show of the year and despite reported sound problems, they put in a hits packed set that also contained a couple of new songs – much to the surprise of the band’s record label.
'Southbound', 'Immortals' and 'Radioactive' all made their live debut, but frontman Caleb Followhill revealed that he wasn’t sure that their record label wanted the songs to be out in public yet: "Since we saw you guys last we went and made a record. That's what we put a lot of work into. Just yesterday some people at the record label got to hear a couple of songs from it. I don't know if they want us to play a bunch of new songs but I think 'fuck it' - were gonna do it!"
The band’s new album is due later this year, although no release date has been confirmed as yet.
