Keith Richards Joins Johnny Depp Onstage
Richards plays live with his cinematic progeny at movie aftershow in New York
Depp's JD Band were playing a tiny club after party at the Hiro Ballroom in Manhattan's Maritime Hotel following the New York premiere of his latest film, The Rum Diary (based on the brilliant Hunter S Thompson book) when Keith Richards joined the band onstage to play a cover of Charlie Segar's Key to the Highway, which was re-recorded by the Stones in the 1960s.
It's the second time in a week that Depp has played with a genuine rock icon, following a performance with ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons in Austin, Texas last weekend.
