Keith Aims For October Autobiography Release

Stones guitarist is nearly finished with book

Keith Richards is aiming for an October release for his long awaited autobiography.

The Stones guitarist has been planning the book for a number of years, but it seems that its taken a while to put the pieces together from his own memory and the memories of other people that have been around him during his life.

"I'm waiting for some proofs to come back," he tells the Independent. "It's kind of weird writing about your own life. Who'd be interested in that?"

"But then, I realise there is a lot of interest, so... Talking to some of the people that were there and their version of events to try and correlate it all was very interesting, a kind of kaleidoscopic bunch of experiences."

The book was first announced in 2007 with a rumoured $5m fee being paid for the publishing rights.
