Kansas axe European Tour, including Ramblin' Man Fair, citing US government ‘security warnings’
Kansas have cancelled their entire European tour blaming their decision on ‘safety and security warnings issued by the United States government.’
Currently on tour in the US, the ‘Carry On Wayward Son’ stars issued a statement this evening confirming their European jaunt, which included Sweden Rock and a slot at Ramblin’ Man Fair on Sunday 30th July, has been ditched.
The progressive rockers’ statement reads: “KANSAS regretfully announces the cancellation of its 2017 European Tour. The cancellation is based on safety and security warnings issued by the United States government and various U.S. law enforcement agencies concerning Americans traveling in Europe this summer.
“KANSAS is extremely saddened that the band will not be able to perform for its European fans this year.”
Ramblin Man’ Fair have since confirmed that an alternative headliner for the Prog In The Park Stage will be announced in due course.
The third Ramblin’ Man Fair takes place in the stunning surroundings of Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent on the weekend of Friday 28th to Sunday 30th July 2017.
US artists on the bill who are making the journey to the UK include ZZ Top, Dokken, Last In Line, Extreme, Y&T, Scorpion Child, Tyler Bryant, Dan Baird & Homemade Sin, Ghoultown, Whiskey Dick, Jessica Lynn, Caitlin Koch, The Kyle Gass Band and The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band.
