Formidable guitarist Kane Roberts has rejoined Alice Cooper’s band after 34 years.
The 60-year-old axeman replaces Nita Strauss in Alice Cooper’s band for the Detroit Muscle Tour across North America this coming September and October.
Nita Strauss released a statement on Monday (11th July) saying she was exiting Alice’s band after eight years while she pursues her “next adventure.”
Kane Roberts was previously Alice Cooper’s guitarist from 1983 to 1988 and he performed on two studio albums, ‘Constrictor’ and ‘Raise Your Fist and Yell.’
Announcing the return of Kane Roberts, Planet Rock’s very own Alice Cooper said: "I'm looking forward to welcoming back Kane Roberts for our shows in September and October.
“We've been friends all this time, and he's always been one of my favorite guitarists. He's bringing more muscle to the Detroit Muscle Tour.
“We've always had a swinging door policy where players can come and go, so it's very exciting to get back on stage with Kane.
“The fans are in for a real treat at these shows. It's gonna be a blast. Kane Roberts, Ryan Roxie, and Tommy Henriksen on guitars? Hell yeah!"
Alice Cooper performed a six-date UK arena tour back in May and June with co-headliners The Cult.
You can listen to Nights with Alice Cooper on Planet Rock at 7pm on Monday, 10pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 11pm on Thursday.
