65-year-old Joe was hospitalised on 10th July when he staggered off stage and subsequently required urgent medical care at Brooklyn’s Ford Amphitheatre.

Although unscrupulous gossip magazines and tabloids claimed Joe had a suspected heart attack, according to Blabbermouth Joe was suffering from dehydration and exhaustion.

Having rested for 12 days, Joe’s Hollywood Vampires band mate Alice Cooper last night confirmed the guitarist will rejoin the final four dates of the tour beginning at Weill Hall in Rohnert Park, California later this evening.

Alice wrote on Twitter: “Joe is back! @JoePerry returns to the @hollywoodvamps tour tomorrow, 7/22 & will be with us thru the end! #joeperry”

Joe was initially treated at the Coney Island Hospital but was later transferred to Columbia Presbyterian in Manhattan. Having been discharged, he was been recording at home in California for the past few days.

While Joe was absent, Hollywood Vampires honoured the rest of their tour dates with a stand-in guitarist.

When news of Joe’s illness first emerged, stars from across the rock world sent their well wishes including Slash, The Who, Nikki Sixx, Tom Morello and Joe's Hollywood Vampires band mate Matt Sorum.
