Joe Lynn Turner hospitalised after suffering heart attack
Former Rainbow and Deep Purple singer Joe Lynn Turner has been hospitalised following a heart attack in Belarus.
Russian website RIA.ru first broke the news on Saturday saying that 66-year-old Turner was being treated in a Minsk emergency hospital for a “myocardial infarction” – more commonly known as a heart attack.
The report reads: “Yesterday, a patient with myocardial infarction entered the hospital, he was treated with all possible modern methods, and now his condition is stable.”
Turner’s friend and fellow ex-Rainbow vocalist Graham Bonnet later confirmed the news, writing on Facebook: “My friend Joe was hospitalised in Minsk with a heart issue last night and myself, Beth-Ami and the rest of the Graham Bonnet Band wish him a complete and speedy recovery. We love you, Joe.”
There has been no official statement from Turner’s representatives, however numerous rock stars have been wishing him a speedy recovery on Twitter.
