In an interview with the Academy of Achievement, the guitarist and serial back-catalogue tweaker confirmed he’s working on a new Led Zeppelin package that will be released next year.

“There will be a Led Zeppelin product coming out for sure that people haven’t heard,” Jimmy said.

“I’m working on that and next year will be the 50th year, so there’s all manner of surprises coming out – and then I hope to be seen to be playing, so I better get on with it!”

In October, Redditch Borough Council gave the green light for a John Bonham memorial to be built in the late Led Zeppelin legend’s home town as part of the band’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

The 2.5 tonnes bronze sculpture will be situated in Mercian Square next to Redditch market and it’s expected to be launched to coincide with what would have been Bonzo’s 70th birthday on 31st May 2018.
