Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind announce stand-alone single and UK tour

Originally written by Bobby Marchan but later made famous by Little Richard & Slade, Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind’s version of ‘Get Down Get With It’ is released on 20th September by Ma§onic Records via Cargo.

Limited to just 1000 copies, the single is available to buy on 7” pink vinyl only.

Championed by Planet Rock’s Phil Alexander, Jim Jones & The Righteous Minds’ critically-lauded second studio album ‘CollectiV’ was released back in March.

Jim Jones says on the new single: “Get Down Get With It’ became the rallying cry for the ‘CollectiV’ tour, so it made sense to go back into the studio, turn everything up to 11 and totally rip it up.”

He continues: “Liars and charlatans have got the world tearing itself apart right now, when really, we should be coming together. Even if it’s just for a few minutes, this absolutely does that and lives up to its name.”

Coinciding with the single’s release, Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind will head out on an 11-date tour in late September/early October. Tickets are on sale from Planet Rock Tickets now.

The London date has a 2.30am late night license and will feature support from Ye Nuns, Chrome Mountain and Suzie Stapleton, together with DJs.
