Janis Joplin Biopic Casts Its Lead
Amy Adams will play the tragic singer
The twice Oscar nominated Adams, who has starred in films such as The Fighter and The Muppets, is to play Joplin in the film Get It While You Can.
Hollywood Reporter says that the long gestating project is finally set to start production with director Lee Daniels (Oscar nominated for his film Precious) in talks to helm the project.
The film will tell the short but monumental life story of Joplin and it is due to start filming in early 2013.
