Jagger hits the top ten on Letterman
Stones frontman makes US TV appearance.
Mick Jagger has always been a good sport when it comes to having a laugh at his own expense. Last night was no different when the Rolling Stones frontman made an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman on US television. The band are in New York ahead of their final 50 anniversary show this weekend. Jagger appeared on stage at the Ed Sullivan Theatre to thunderous applause, a stage he has performed on with the Stones several times in the past fifty years.
Appearing relaxed and happy, Jagger delivered the Letterman show’s nightly Top Ten. His list included ‘nobody ever wants to hear anything from your new album’ and "You start out playing rock n’ roll so you can have sex and do drugs, but you end up doing drugs so that you can still play rock n’ roll and have sex”.
