Jack White To Score A Disney Film?
He's also set to land a solo number 1 this week
It has been revealed that White will score Disney's brand new big screen version of The Lone Ranger, which will star Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as the titular former Texas Ranger.
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer told Variety he's excited about working with White.
"Jack's an amazing songwriter with a unique style," Bruckheimer said. "We're thrilled to hear his fresh take on the 'William Tell Overture'."
This will be White's second foray into the world of blockbuster film scores after he wrote and performed 'Another Way To Die',the theme song to the most recent James Bond film, Quantum Of Solace.
Meanwhile, White's debut solo album Blunderbuss is set to top the album charts in both the UK and the US this weekend.
The album is expected to sell between 100-120k in the US and it is apparently well clear of its nearest rivals in the UK charts.
