Watch Peruvian orchestra perform incredible Iron Maiden symphonic medley
A young Peruvian orchestra have performed a new Iron Maiden symphonic medley consisting of 'The Trooper', 'Hallowed be Thy Name' and 'Aces High'.

More than three years ago in December 2016, an orchestral medley of Iron Maiden’s seminal songs ‘Fear of The Dark’, ‘The Number of The Beast’ and ‘Run to The Hills’ was shared to the Epic Symphony Rock YouTube channel, and it has since amassed more than 8.5million views.
Now, a follow-up Iron Maiden medley has been uploaded to YouTube, performed by the youthful Orquesta Sinfónica de Chancay and conducted by Javier Fernandez-Prada.
Featuring orchestral reinterpretations of the Iron Maiden classics ‘The Trooper’, ‘Hallowed be Thy Name’ and ‘Aces High’, the six-and-a-half-minute video was filmed at the Teatro Municipal de Lima in Lima, Peru on 25th November 2019.

Micky Tejada, who arranged the symphonic score and performed guitar, says: “It was magical to work on these songs adapting carefully every passage to the orchestra, sometimes transforming the nature of the original musical idea, sometimes making a thoughtful effort to make it bigger. Thanks to Iron Maiden for being such great inspiration.”
Commenting on the orchestra, Tejada added: “The impressive young orchestra you are watching is the "Orquesta Sinfónica de Chancay" which was founded by its conductor Javier Fernandez Prada in the province of Chancay close to Lima - Perú.
“It is a wonderful example of how the new generations of classical musicians can be exposed to popular music proving that well-written metal music such as Iron Maiden's will transcend its time and genre.”

Bruce Dickinson has previously said he’s open to the idea of performing Iron Maiden songs while accompanied by an orchestra.
Bruce, of course, lent his vocals to the late-great Jon Lord’s new studio version of ‘Concerto for Group and Orchestra’ in 2012, and he performed ‘When A Blind Man Cries’ at the 50th-anniversary concert celebration for the seminal album at the Palais Montcalm in Quebec, Canada last November.
During his spoken word event in Dublin on 13th December, Bruce was asked if he’d like to do the same with Iron Maiden.
He replied: "I did talk to the conductor Paul Mann, and we just very tentatively said, 'Wouldn't it be great if we could do something that might involve some Maiden songs, but only Maiden songs that are really appropriate for doing wiith an orchestra?' 'Empire Of The Clouds' is one of them. So yeah, you never know.”
18.minute epic ‘Empire of the Clouds’ is the closing track on Iron Maiden’s 2015 double album ‘The Book of Souls’. It has never been performed live by the band.
