Iron Maiden share animated 'how paperless ticketing works' video ahead of UK tour
Ahead of The Legacy of the Beast UK Tour kicking off in Newcastle next week, Iron Maiden have shared a guide to how their paperless ticketing works.
The one-minute video was created by Brazilian animator Val Andrade, the man behind the MaidenCartoons YouTube Channel, and it provides vital information for everyone attending the seven-date tour.
The three key things fans must know ahead of the show are as follows:
- You need to bring government-issued photo identification along with the original debit/credit card that you purchased the tickets with.
- All of the people on the booking must enter the show together on the night with the original purchaser (and their debit/credit card).
- You do not need to go to the box office to collect a paper ticket – the purchasers debit/credit card will act as their ticket and will be swiped upon entry.
Unveiling the video, Iron Maiden wrote: “The UK tour is just around the corner! In case paperless ticketing has got you all in a twist, here's a very brief guide to how it works.”

Iron Maiden first introduced their paperless ticketing system for the home leg of The Book of Souls World Tour in May 2017 as part of a series of measures to combat touts.
The number of Iron Maiden tickets that appeared on secondary ticket platforms for the 2017 dates nosedived by 95% compared to the band’s last UK arena tour in 2011. The ones listed on Viagogo were either found to be bogus or made null and void.
