A Bruce Springsteen fan has put together a seamless video of The Boss performing ‘Thunder Road’ over a 41-year period.

Celebrating the opening track of Springsteen’s seminal album ‘Born To Run’, which turns 41 this summer, Phil Whitehead’s brilliant video opens with playing the harmonica at the Hammersmith Odeon in London in 1975.

Effortlessly pieced together, we then see clips of Springsteen singing the track at a variety of locations over the decades including Madison Square Garden, Paris, Milan, Barcelona and Hyde Park.

In this video, I wanted to explore how a song like Thunder Road has changed, not only in the way Springsteen performs it, but also how its meaning evolves with an older person singing," Whitehead explains.

“I also wanted to look the evolution of live recordings, both professional and homemade."
