Iconic Photo Exhibit To Grace Hard Rock Calling
Famous photos from Linda McCartney make UK debut
Some of the most iconic rock portraits of all time will grace the walls of the VIP tent at Hard Rock Calling next week.
The exclusive exhibition of Linda McCartney’s most famous photos will be on display for the three day Hard Rock Calling festival, which takes place on 25-27 June and is headlined by Pearl Jam, Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney.
This is the first time that this collection has been displayed in the UK and photos due to be shown include iconic portraits of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, The Beatles, George Martin, Ringo Starr, BB King, Ginger Baker, Tim Buckley, Pete Townshend, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Mick Jagger and Brian Jones, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Neil Young, Janis Joplin, Simon and Garfunkel and Nico.
Headlining this year’s event will be Pearl Jam, Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney, with additional performances by The Hives, The Gaslight Anthem, Ben Harper and Relentless7, Jamiroquai, Corinne Bailey Rae, Melissa Etheridge and much more. In addition to renowned bands and an on-site Hard Rock Cafe, the festival will include a market area, performance art, a healing area and a "chill out” zone.
