Ian Anderson Lines Up Solo Shows

Tull frontman heads out alone in 2011

Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson is hitting the road on his own next September for a series of solo shows.

Ian will be playing Tull acoustic classics, alongside rare and less well-known songs and other re-arranged Tull rock material. In addition, some new material specially written for these tours will make an appearance. Accompanying him will be German guitar virtuoso Florian Opahle and pianist/accordionist/ percussionist John O’Hara.

Anderson says: "I have always wanted to go out in the UK with a small line-up, to play and to restructure the songs and music for a more intimate and personalized performance.  After many years of performing in this way for radio broadcasts in the USA, it seems like fun to bring this approach to the UK fans, old and new, and to make them feel like they are in my living room for an impromptu family concert.”

Tickets for the shows are on sale on Wednesday 1 December at 9am.
