Holywood Star for Rush
Canada\'s finest receive Tinseltown treatment
They might be getting ready for a north American tour, but two-thirds of Rush were in Hollywood on Friday to receive their star on the Walk of Fame. Frontman/bassist Geddy lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson attended the ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard with scores of fans showing up to watch the spectacle.
Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan was present to hand over the star, along with US radio guru Donna Halper who was one of the first to champion the band in 1974.
It's reported drummer Neil Peart was missing from the ceremony because he was riding his motorbike cross-country for the first date of the band's 'Time Machine' tour in Alburquerque tomorrow.
