Hendrix Movie To Start Filming
Rapper-turned-actor Andre 3000 to play the guitarist in new film
According to the Irish Film and Television Network (via Billboard), the rapper will star in "All Is By My Side," which focuses on Hendrix's stint in England recording "Are You Experienced?"
The project will be filmed in Ireland and serve as the directorial debut of John Ridley.
The Hendrix movie has been rumoured for around a decade, with a number of actors rumoured for the role.
The shoot is expected to last for around six weeks with a 2013 release looking likely.
