In order to celebrate Jimi Hendrix's 70th birthday (or what would have been), fans of the guitar legend will have the opportunity to view his 1969 concert in selected cinemas globally.

"Hendrix 70: Live At Woodstock" will be released by Omniverse Vision from November 26.

The theatrical presentation has been carefully pieced together from extensive archived film footage, which has been digitally restored. The project has been helmed by Academy Award winning director Michael Wadleigh.

Some of the footage has never been seen before, including interviews with band members Billy Cox and Mitch Mitchell.
