Hawkwind Join Forces With Brian Blessed
Listen to the reworking of their 1981 classic 'Sonic Attack'
Seminal space rockers Hawkwind have joined forces with boom-voiced thespian Brian Blessed for a new version of ‘Sonic Attack’.
The epic seven-minute reworking of the 1981 classic single features the instantly recognisable animated tones of Blessed alongside the interstellar music.
The collaboration came about after Hawkwind’s London Shepherds Bush Empire gig back in February when they created their Space Ritual show of 1972.
All proceeds were donated to animal charities including Team Badger, of which Brian Blessed is a patron, and a friendship was formed.
‘Sonic Attack’s accompanying futuristic video was created by long-time Hawkwind collaborator Martin McGuiness.
